Just got to pick this up today. I just about had to sell myself into slavery to get this. But only because it was an awesome deal, less than half going market.

NICE! That's a beautiful little rifle! Considering the current admin. in office, I would say you made a fantastic choice in a long arm, It was based on the legendary M-14 design, and It's tough as nails, accurate, and fun to shoot. That rifle is on the hit list and will only gain value in the future. I have a few of those little rifles, mini and ranch in .223. I can't begin to tell you how many thousands of rounds I have put through mine over the years. (I'm a HUGE Ruger fan!) A while ago, I fell back to an M-4 to do mayhem on the coy dog population. It was like meeting an old friend and picking up where you left off. :D I don't shoot much since I moved into a highly unfriendly state, so all but 2 weapons are oiled and packed away. I keep my M-4 in reach, and never leave the driveway without a CCW, a Kimber Pro Raptor II, And I train regularly on them both.

(shameless pimping)

Very nice !! All the local gun shops are all but sold out on semi auto pistols, I have been looking for a few months now for a Sprindfield Arm XD 45 and have been told 6 to 18 months wait:eek: The NRA declared Obama " Gun Salesman of the Year "

Hole, you need to look on gunbroker.com. you buy the gun and have it shipped to a licensed dealer. You can save a little that way. Or, if you are looking for the newest check out Galleryofguns.com use the "gun genie".

Just got more ammo for my M4 today and getting a flat of ammo for my sks tommorow

I personally like carrying my ruger super redhawk 44 alaskan 2 1/2 in barrell

Thanks Crust, I'll check those out next week! :chug:

I have THOUSANDS of rounds for my regular shooters. I reload, and usually have a good 5,000 rounds of .223 / .45 stored in ammo cans, on hand at all times.

Hey CW I agree reloading is the only way to go, I couldn't afford the Jeep and the Guns if I didn't load my own. (and work on my own Jeep).
It's hell to be addicted to more than one thing.

Sweet! Good job grabbing such a good price, and seems to be in great condition. And have to agree with basically everything Old Dog just said!

Dang! I can't even afford my JEEP addiction, much less try and get into something likely more expensive like artillery...I need a new job...

No kidding....you better stay the hell away from diving too! I must have 10 k in dive gear as well. Why is it that EVERYTHING fun is !!!!!!$$$$$!!!

What reload equipment do you use ?

I have a Rock Chucker single stage press and tools, I bought the "piggyback" conversion for it to make it a "progressive" press, but, am able to make plenty of "xtra" ammo with the single stage for now !

:)

A Dillon RL 550 B. I can grab a beer, sit down in front of it, and drop 500 rounds an hour of match quality .45 ACP. Change the tool head and shell plate in less than a minute, and be dropping another caliber just that quick.

X2 on the dillion its the only way to go. I've had mine for 20? years and its still going strong.

Bought mine in 1982. I must have thrown close to 1,000,000 rounds through that machine, and It still works flawlessly. Everything I have is Dillon blue! From the press, dies, flip trays, vib cleaner, scales, EVERYTHING.

Yea I need to get into reloading with the price of ammo. I can go pick up 1,000s of casings at the local shooting spots. Right now I only have the mini and a Taurus Pt111 9mm. But am skipping any more tattoos to stock up on arms.

If you're gonna be a shooter, reloading is the only real way you will be able to afford it, and be assured you will have a steady flow of ammo. Aside from the thousands of rounds I have loaded, I probably have enough supply on hand to throw another 10,000 rounds, mostly .45 and .223. But several other custom one off rounds and heavy rifle cals. as well. I hit the gun shows and snoop around the interweb for deals, and buy what's cheap. And I'm still waiting for a post test accuracy and function report for that mini!
