Hey all. Here is my soon to be new baby. 4" lift with 33" tires. She's being put together at the moment, but here are some photos from when I found her, and as she's coming along. I'm hoping friday I'll be able to bring her home, then taker her out!

edit: I forgot to mention, she's a recently rebuilt AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , 5 speed.

She's feeling much better nowadays! *whew*

So after quite a hard time getting her running properly, and all sorts of shenanigans that eventually led me to say "screw this. I'm going to do it myself, I can't do any worse than the guys that have been working on her!" I finally have her in a state that I am proud to drive her around, and have been having a lot of fun just cruising her a little bit.

Multiple carb problems, plugged vacuum lines, bad hoses, loose steering, leaking valve cover (still has to be replaced, hoping to do it tomorrow), and the timing that I can't quite nail down (don't have a timing light). It's been a rough road getting her to the point that I can confidently drive her any distance, and it's only been a week!

Anyways, I want to say thank you to everyone that has helped me get this far, from directly giving me advice to my questions on the forums, and to those who came before me with the same problems and the people that gave some excellent advice as well. Everyone around here pretty much rocks and I hope that as I learn more I can return the favor sometime. If you're ever in Venice Beach, let's meet up for a beer and talk CJ's
