My heat barely works and the only heat I can get from it is the defrost vents, all tubing is in place.

Push pull cables control the direction of air flow. You can verify that these work by just looking at them under the dash as you change the output. You should also be able to hear the door indide ooen and close as you do this. Is the fan motor working correctly? Also are you getting a temperature change through the defrost vents when the engine heats up? If need be I can email you a diagram of the entire setup, it is pertty simple. When I first got mine I had to clean out a lot of junk that fell into the bottom of the setup. Rod

I do notice a temperature change, but the only heat/air I ever can seem to notice is the air the comes out of the vents used for defrosting the windshield. Is that normal? Or is air supposed to come out somewhere else

Anyone know of a good how-to on the forums to maybe replace the fan/motor? Assuming that's what is making the noise

There is a door inside the unit that directs the air either to the defrost or heat. Sounds like either the cable broke/came off or the door fell out.
