The brass pipe is an unknown, my heater core is up to the right of that.

The black tube had a flattened end and just hangs there.

What are these!!!

The 2nd pic is the drain for your heater box. The water that goes into the vent on the top of your tub below the w/s frame drains out there. I'm still thinking about the first pic.

The 1st pic is also a drain for any water that makes its way to the bottem of the heater box. It should have a short rubber hose on it.

Correct. Small hose for heater box drain. Big hose for vent box drain.
