Hello Guest, we are proud to now have our Wiki online that is completely compiled and written by our members. Feel free to browse our Jeep-CJ Wiki or click on any orange keyword when looking at posts in the forum.
I use "oldjeeplady" not because I am old (that is a relative thing..), but because my main interest has been in the classic Willys type CJ's. Plus, since this is most often a male dominated forum (and I love guys!!), I thought my user name should reflect that I was female, and indeed a lady. It is not without drawbacks though...I have still been called a "he" and "old" , but not on this forum!!! I have the same username on all the CJ type forums where I am a member. To the members of Jeep-CJ: You are all Classic!!
Well,I decided on mine because I live in the woods and own a CJ7 . Which at some point helped me while browsing profiles. Its easy to say what I have when its in my name. Although, I believe alot of these guys and ladies have more than one.
The first thing that I told my Lovely Wife when I brought the CJ home was, "This won't be too expensive Dear". I repeat that every time she opens up the bank website...
Now I have added that it is cheaper than the 2013 Ford Explorer Limited with EcoBoost on the other side of our garage; makes me feel better about it anyway!
1979 Jeep CJ5 with 304 V8, T18 Transmission, Dana 20 Transfer case with TeraLow 3:1 gears, 4.88 axle gears, Detroit Locker up front and Ox Locker in back with 1 piece axle shafts, 36" SuperSwamper SX Tires, Shackle reversal, MileMarker Hydraulic winch, MSD 6A ignition.
So I assume you now know what a Busa is. For the rest of you, Busa is short for the Hayabusa, I own a Suzuki Hayabusa, the fastest motorcycle ever made and that ever will be made. Well, maybe I can't guarantee that no motorcycle will ever be made to be faster than a Hayabusa let me explain. In 1999 the Hayabusa was first manufactured by Suzuki. It would exceed 200 MPH but the public said "No motorcycle should ever go that fast. There should be a law". Before such a law was ever enacted Suzuki voluntarily speed Limited it to 186 mph or 300 kph (yes I know you are all thinking that's much safer than driving 200 mph). My 2004 Hayabusa is one of those speed Limited models. The fuel injector cuts out at that speed.
Now all motorcycle and performance car manufactures voluntarily speed limit their vehicles to 186 mph. There are some exceptions. The extreme high end performance cars that cost about a million dollars don't abide by that rule. BTW my Busa has the speed limit and won't go any more than 186 mph (not that I've ever gone that fast anyway)
So I've got a motorcycle that is built to go fast and a jeep that's built to go very slow. When I'm in my CJ5 on the highway up into the mountains I often pull over because I am thinking I am driving too slow for the other traffic. If I am on my Busa then it's the other way around, I never hold up anyone else.

My motorcycle riding buds and I were shootin' the chit one day about nationalities and I made the mistake of telling them I was a teensy part Sioux Indian and supposedly related to Crazy Horse. Been the The Chief ever since ha,ha.
