need tub for 85 CJ7 , im told other years will work but i dont know.any input would helpful thanks

Mid-70's CJ7 on up to '86 CJ7 tubs are the same dimensionally. YJ tubs are also the same with some differences in mounting points. The YJ tubs have that bothersome swing out tailgate however which means you will either need to modify it to work with a CJ hardtop or use a YJ hardtop. The bright side to the YJ tubs is they are galvanized and rust is much less of an issue with them.

The YJ is a wrangler up until 95 when they ceased production of that model. Al CJ7 bodies and Yj bodies will fir the CJ7 frame.
