NEED HELP PLEASE Tcase seal?

so got my CJ7 in september and the guy handed me what we thought was the front output seal for the tcase. finally got to replacing it and the seal he gave me is too small? goto parts store they hand me the same seal? anyone run into this? my jeep is stuck on my lift at work til if figure this one out

Id take a look at seals for the year right before and after yours. Not familiar with those years, but maybe they switched t cases around that year.

Or maybe the guy has a diff. tcase in there. Try and id the tcase by number and pictures.

it just didn't fit right..deff a Dana 300 ..just ordered 1 from morris 4x4..we'll see when it shows...there was also a burr on the seal lip from whoever was in there before?

huh...sounds weird. Were there different variants where the shafts were different sizes maybe?
