well written post, it's too bad that so many do not see your point of view, on either side. it takes each individual to start by policing themselves.

We are dealing with alot of the same issues out here with our oceans. Seems like every administration wants to designate a national monument in the Hawaiian island chain and it is killing an already anemic economy. Regulations on monster fishing operations I can understand, but when my neighbor who owns a small restaurant can't fish six months out of the year and the areas he can fish get smaller and smaller, something has got to give, and usually the locals get the end of the stick.

Great article Baja- we all gotta rethink how we live and stand up for our rights.

Back at the begining of May when our club did it's clean-up down at Jellico, there was a group of local "greenies" that we worked with. When we got rained out at lunch time we all went and had lunch together. I think we all went away feeling a little better about the other side. Sometimes it help to talk about things in a relaxed setting.
