My guess is that it will. RAM is about to release (like any day now) it's 1500 with a V6 Fiat diesel with unreal power numbers and even more unreal MPG numbers. "When" SUV's start shipping with power and MPG like that (24+) it'll be a whole new ballgame.

Yes.
They should have stayed with Cumins. Either a smaller 6 or the new V8 they are putting in the Neison.

Perhaps, but no one has seemed to mind an Isuzu in a Chevy/GMC (Duramax). I'd like to have seen a Cummins in there too, but I don't think they would have got the MPG out of them, and I'm sure the Fiat is less expensive given they are the parent company.
I just think that 24-28MPG and 420ft/lbs of torque are a tough combination for any manufacturer to beat.
