Craigslist is great!

I was excited to get a great deal on craigslist the other day. I purchased a new set of Superlift 4" Lift springs with shackles for my 72' CJ5 for $200. I wanted to go the wrangler spring route, but this was too good a deal for me to pass up! Now I can fix this mess!

:) Anyone running Superlift Super ride springs have any feedback on them?

Re: Craigslist is great!

I had a set on my '79 nice 4" lift, ride wasn't bad once I flexed it a couple times to loosen things up.

I have a set of SuperLift SoftRide springs on my Cj, I like the ride but without a swaybar, it can get tippy in off camber stuff. I have yet to feel like its going to tip to one side, tho.

They flex pretty good, too.

I'm happy with the 4" lift on my 83. They took a flexs to wear in but ride and flex good now.

How big are thoes shackels? you might want smaller ones, hard to tell in the pics.
Are you going to go back to the shackel in front, I can't remember.

I'm getting rid of the shackle reversal setup, and going back to shackles in front. The pic makes those shackles look bigger then what they are. They are actually 1" lift shackles. I local guy here is going to fix the front of my frame. He's going to cut just before the front spring hangers, weld new frame rails, winch plate, remount power steering, weld all hangers, spring perches and install the lift kit for $800. I had to get ahold of new leaf springs before, so it could all be done at once, and not left on jack stands forever. It's good to hear you are all happy with your superlifts.
mylittlecj5, I can't pull up your pic, it's just a red X

Here, lets try it the correct way...

Funny thing it shows on my screen just fine. :?

mylittlecj- nice pic! That's a 4" Superlift, with no lift shackles or anything? I'm definately looking forward to getting that lift on now! What size tires are you running with your CJ? Your pics show up fine on my home computer. I guess they expect me to work at work, so they must have blocked some things. They haven't blocked Jeep-cj.com yet though!

I have 2" lift shackles, and a front shackle reversal. Currently shod with 35x12.50x15 Super Swampers.

Here is a better side view.

Brockgrimes, and mylittle CJ5 , nice pics! My jeep looks about that highth with my current hillbillie lift, and I was hoping that it would be about the same highth with my 4" lift kit installed correctly. 33X12.50's for tires. The springs currently on my CJ5 look close to new, and I'm not sure if they're lift springs or not. There are still fresh painted leaf spring ID numbers on them. What is the stock measurement for shackles from eye to eye? I want to check the shackles that came with my new lift springs to see if indeed they are lift shackles or not. Brockgrimes-Do you have any rubbing problems with tires meeting front of rear wheelwell? My tires look affully close to making contact with rear front of fender w/33's

stock shackels should be 3" center of bolt to center of bolt.

The only problem I had was a full lock the tires would rub the leaf springs on the front side, if I was careful they never rubbed and I still had a tight turn radius but I'd have liked 12.50's just for reduced weight and being able to have full lock with no rub.
