New member here and this is my project collection. The grey/black one on the right is a 1969 CJ5 that I acquired with a flood rebuildable title with a Buick 231V6, TH350 tranny, and 2 stick Transfer Case . The green one on the left I acquired with a bill of sale stating it is a 1966. It has a 225V6, 3 speed tranny, and single stick Transfer Case . In the foreground is another 225v6 mates to a GM Turbo 400 tranny with single stick Transfer Case . My main goal is to get the ‘69 rebuilt with a 225v6 and then maybe the ‘66 if enough is salvageable.

Nice rigs. Are they rusty and crusty?

The ‘69’s body seems to be in great shape with no rot, only some light rust here and there. The frame has a little heavier rust in places but nothing major that I’ve found yet. The ‘66 is a different story. The body is pretty crusty with lots of old bondo work popping through. I mainly got it as a parts jeep anyhow but who knows, I might find a way to salvage it, lol.

66 sounds like a great wheeling rig. If you smash it on a rock your not out anything
