Any suggestions? I bought my Jeep without anything for a soft top, so I need a complete kit. I have full size hard doors, and half steel doors, but I but I am not going to use them. I would like tinted windows and I think it would look the best if the top was black. What are you guys running and what do you recommend? The tub is from a YJ, but I don't really think that matters. This is the one I was thinking about.

Bestop 54599-15 - Bestop® Supertop® with Tinted Windows for 76-95 Jeep® CJ-7 & Wrangler YJ - Quadratec

I was thinking of just getting that one but are any of you guys using those fabric doors they offer?

I am just looking for the best soft top option. Thanks.

:chug:

I have the super top with the soft doors, it's 7 years old now and still doing great, although I only run it in the winter.

Nice! I actually want it so that I can go on trips with the GF and not worry about weather. The small bikini top just does not cut it.

Also, I really wanted to get a top with the sail cloth, but it doesn't look like anything is offered with that. Bummer.

Thanks for the help. Do you like the soft doors? I am wondering if I would use them with the hard doors.

I think I am leaning towards the super top with the soft doors at this point. Does anyone have any pictures of the super top on their jeep with the doors on or one without the windows? I am trying to get an idea of what it will look like. I like the idea of having the jeep almost completely open just by removing the windows. Thanks. :chug:

I found a couple for ya.

That top looks awesome! I really like how open it becomes with the windows removed. I am going to call around tomorrow and try to get some prices. I see that some online places have them on sale right now. It might be worth it to get the top now to take advantage of the savings. I think I like the black denim versus the black version. :chug:

Thanks for all of your help on this. I ended up getting the super top in black denim with the tinted windows.

Bestop 54603-15 - Bestop® Supertop® with Tinted Windows and 2-Piece Doors for 80-95 Jeep® CJ-7 & Wrangler YJ - Quadratec

It is actually the only black offered like that because of the tinted windows. In order to get basic black I would have needed to purchase the top with clear windows. The top should be in tomorrow. I am pumped! Thanks again for the help. I ordered it from a local place in Holyoke MA called Endangered Species Jeep. They gave me a nice price on it. :chug:

I forgot to add, but I also bought the super top with the two piece doors. I figured they would be nice to have and they look really nice in the pictures. Thanks again.

It's a little late now, but I just noticed you might want to run your hard doors with it. If I remember right it will Not fit with the hard doors as the upper rear corner is a different shape. I don't have hard doors so I'm not 100% sure.

I don't follow you. Are you saying that I should not run my hard doors or I should run my hard doors? Either way, I bought it from a local place and they assured me that it would work. It comes in tomorrow, so we will see . . . . . I can ask tomorrow, but I think it should be ok, I hope anyway, haha.

I was saying that I didn't think it would work with the hard doors.
But I'm not sure so I hope your guy is right.

I will ask him tomorrow when I pick it up. It came in at noon today but I was unable to get there to pick it up. I am going to try and put it on tomorrow so I hope it works out.

Looks good, I like the tinted windows.

I love the new top! Do the darker windows bother you while driving- because they look awesome.

I have to buy the same- but not ready to shell out the $1000 bucks yet

They don't bother me but I have always owned cars with tinted windows. I prefer them because it's cooler in the summer and I don't like my stuff being right out in the open. I really like them.

I ended up paying 825 for the top with shipping before tax. It is a lot but it was worth to to me. I do have a hard top but I had it. So, not having a top was really limiting what I could do with my jeep. I wanted to take it camping and to the beach, and not having a top really sucked. It just hurt to buy new tires, a lift, and a top in the same few weeks. I am done with jeep purchases till next year, I hope, hahaha

Good looking addition and good luck on your jeep budget. Seems that the only time not spending on the jeep is spent making a list of items for when I have more money. I like the color match.

Was that price including the doors?

Changing colors means doors too unfortunately.

Thanks man. I like the color too. I think my choices were between black denim or spice, so it was a not brainer to pick this one.

It was 825 including the doors. The doors add like 200 bucks or so to the price. I have hard steel full and half doors, but I wanted the fabric ones because they are easier to deal with.
