Hi,
I'm new to the forum. I'm not sure quite where to post. I have a 66 cj that I have had for years sitting in the garage. I have to make a decision on whether to sell it or fix it up. I'm not super mechanical, and it needs more work than I have time to give it. It needs brake work, and it has some fuel line issues, but when it was running, it had a strong engine. Body is in good shape, like new soft top. I think the fuel pump is old and tired. The rear drum breaks are tired, too. How hard are those to fix? If I decide to sell, any idea how much I should ask?
Thanks,
T

welcome aboard :chug: nothing is hard to do with your old Jeep you could have it up and running in no time if you wanted to, get you a factory service manual and take your time and ask questions it would a lot of fun:chug:

Welcome, Tross.

I'm new too and I don't even have a Jeep.

If you decide to sell, I have aquestion.

Do you deliver?

Welcome aboard. The fact your asking questions is a good sign. Again get a good manual, take your time and the rest is nuts and bolts.

This does sound like just the thing SlowPocono is looking for. None of your problems sound very difficult to fix. But it would be dirty greasy/ old gassy work. A few bucks and a few weekends and you are in business.

Your info says CJ6 and that's a nice one and pretty rare. Like the others said hang on to her if at all possible. You don't say where in Ca you are but there's always helping hands out there to steer you in the right direction.
