Newbie help - remove steering wheel 79 CJ5

I am removing my dash in preparation for removing the tub.

I've unbolted everything i can find... but the steering wheel is still not coming loose, though there is some movement. Can someone give me a tip or two???? See below.

Okay so I just found this thread which says you need to take the intermediate bolt all the way out... i assume the intermediate bolt is the one in the top photo. In that case, I'm an idiot because I just loosened it. Will report back tomorrow, but your comments are still appreciated.

Thanks. I assume that's my problem. I'll try to remove it tonight and report back.

The bolt definitely has to be removed. It may still be a chore to get the clamp to slide off. I ended up needing a spray can of "slick um" and a persuader to motivate mine to come off. Wedging the clamp open a bit will help with the removal and the install.

Thanks guys. Removing that bolt combined with a little prying apart of the clamp mixed with a little hammer action did it.
