I'm a die-hard Land Cruiser guy (I know that's probably not too popular here), especially the FJ40's. I currently have a '76.
Hi Guys. I'm new here and could really use your help.....

I located a number of old-school Kayline, Bestop and Whitco soft tops, doors and bows in a warehouse that used to be an R&D site for Con-ferr. Many of these are in very good shape and others will clean up well.

I'm trying to determine which models these fit and could use your expertise and experience to identify them.

If I post up pics, would you be willing to tell me what they go to?

Here's a few for starters:

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie! :chug:

That one looks like 1 I saw on a CJ6 .Measure from the door edge to the snap that goes on the corner for a better idea how long it is.

I agree on the 6.
If you come across a black snap down top only for a 7 let me know

Let me know if you run across one for a CJ8 . It'll be a bit longer than the one you have pictured. Or if you find one that is relatively short like a pick up cab that would be for a CJ8 as well. Im interested in either.

As for what you have pictured I'll be the 3rd to say CJ6 .

Here are some measurements:

Approximate length:

Approximate width:

Also, does anyone know what the bows would look like for this top. I have a whole pile that I need to go through and identify. You can see just SOME of them in the bottom left-hand corner of this pic:

Thanks again for the help! :notworthy:

Be sure I'll post up whatever else I find in case there's something you might need/want.

I would also be interested if you could piece together a good condition CJ7 top, tan preferably

that looks like a CJ6 top, show a pic of the door and we will be for certain, not a bestop.
about the bows, wow now you are grasping a bit, you almost would have to put one on to check that.
you have any doors in the lot?

ThisGuyUKnow - Sorry, the only ones I've turned up have been white.

BajaEdition - Yes, I found multiple doors, some in better condition than others. I'll post up pics if you guys don't mind helping me identify them.....

not at all, post them up

LOL,Yeah I'm new.Hi Cruiser,I just noticed I'm just down the Mnt. from ya.:D

WOW  , I'll try and get some measurments from my Jeeps and maybe that will help ya.

Okay, so here are some of the doors that I've uncovered. Some are in near-perfect condition and some.....not so much....

These are all sets:

The guy I'll be selling these for also owns an awning shop and he said that he could have his seamstress replace the yellowed windows....that's kinda cool.

The yellowed ones have some kind of tacky waxy substance on them. I haven't tried to clean it off yet.....

gp4play: Yes, we are close to each other! I'd love some measurements...that would really help me to sort things out. :notworthy:

Oh, yeah I also uncovered these parts for Jeep CJ's:

Con-ferr front winch bumper:

Con-ferr skid plate:

A few of these Con-ferr heavy duty rear bumpers (still covered in 30 years of dust and grime):

I've seen a top with that yellow stuff on it a loooong time ago and I think it was some kind a protectant for shipping,it might just peel off.

wow all those CJ5 doors. we need to get together and identify a lot of that stuff
I am in Riverside.

What are the measurements on those roof racks? Interested

Which racks were you interested in?

The first one is a small basket that is hooked to a receiver mount (I'm gonna keep this one) :D

The big one is a 5'x7' one-piece Con-ferr rack with some slight damage (that could easily be fixed).

Then there are a bunch of these platforms racks. Apparently, this was a contract job for the military that Pete Condos (Con in Con-ferr) was working on that never materialized. They measure 58" wide by 46" long and have the same crossbars that the Con-ferr baskets have. Would be interesting to see what you could do to utilize them for RTT's.....

Here's a link to our website if you want to see what else I've uncovered:
www.diamondrax.com. Click on "Other Products".....

Found some great help and info from the guys at www.earlycj5.com. Gonna continue this thread over there, but wanted to thank you guys for all your input and information. Here's a link to the thread: http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76911. I'll be adding tons of photos and scans of all the instructions and advertisements that I've turned up related to soft tops, etc, so be sure to check it out.

Once I sort, identify and price everything, I'll put all the stuff up for sale on our website at: www.diamondrax.com.

If it doesn't sell there within a certain amount of time, I'll put it all up on eBay. So....you guys have the inside track!

Thanks to BajaEdition who made a trip up the hill to help me out with identifying these tops and doors. We're getting closer......

thats gotta be for a CJ6 . it has the extensions by the doors and the length is about that of a late 60s CJ6 . it might fit the later modles too.
