Not sure if I have my Choke right.

Just rebuilt my Rochester e2se two barrel carburetor in my CJ5 . Everything went pretty smooth. But after it was all done, the choke is sitting in the open position. Is that normal? Or what should I do to fix it? BTW I haven't put the carb back in yet, but I'm anxious to. Just wanna have it right first.

I think I got it, took the plastic part of the choke off, and I think I had put the coil on backward.

If installed correctly, the choke plate should be completely closed after the throttle opens. Then you may need to adjust the choke pull off to have the correct gap between the choke plate and air horn. This adjustment should be in your manual or carb rebuild instructions. Hope this helps.
