AMC-era CJs are cool rides, but the GM-sourced steering columns are straight
. From ignition locks that don’t lock to bolts that back out of tilt mechanisms to balky steering wheel locks, the number of issues with the steering columns can go on and on. Ididit did it again with a line of bolt-in steering columns for the ’76-’86 CJ. They are available in raw steel, powdercoat, and chrome finishes and come standard with two coded keys. Standard features include an eight-position tilt, self-cancelling turn signals, four-way flashers, knobs and levers, and a standard GM top shaft.
