I have a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I6, just installed 2 months ago (long block assembly) by me. The intake/exhaust manifold bolt closest to the firewall seems to be weeping a little bit of oil down the side of the motor? Is this common? Can it be fixed? Easily?

I would think it would be from a leaky valve cover gasket, which would be more common. It doesn't sound like you have verified the exact point the leak is coming from.

:agree: The other thing to do would be to check the torque on that bolt. The head would have to be busted for oil to come out of there (usually it would be water before oil). Which should also mean that that bolt would not tighten up properly. Rod
