oil leak

theres oil leaking from around the dipstick tube on my AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . pulled the tube out and put a o ring on it and that didnt fix the problem. im sure its leaking from there and not the rear main seal. just trying to get the leaks fixed.

have you tried replacing your pcv valve? If it sticks it allows pressure to build up in your crankcase, which will usually blow oil out from your dipstick tube.

have you checked for cracks in the tube or block/RTV works wonders
