Old Snow Plow mounts

Any ideas of something usefull to do with these old snow plow mounts? The rest of the plow went to the scrap metal dealer. Would it make any sense to put a threaded rod in between the two brackets to 'Box" the frame? Leave them alone? Cut them off? Any other ideas?

Jeep is all stock and offroading is light.

Looks like they're bolted on, I'd take them off either way. Also looks like you have some extra spring stops there, I assume to catch the extra weight of the plow.

Break out the wrenches and/or gas axe!
