I recently picked up an 85 CJ7 and it has older style (70's) full doors on it. To make this work the PO removed the 80's style door strikes but didn't fit the older kind on their. Basically now they rattle like nuts. I prefer the look of the older door handles and would like to stick some older style strikes on there.

Does anyone know where I could find some? Maybe someone had some spare they could sell?

Thanks!

You need a set of these for your slap close doors

You're best bet is Ebay, maybe craigslist. I bought mine off ebay. You could post up a wanted add here in the classified section as well (after you've posted 10 times as per the site rules :))

I had a set of the old style doors and was unable to find anyone making new parts for them as well :(

I have all the hardware off my doors and won't be needing it anymore (74 CJ5 ) if your interested.

The CJ5 is different than the CJ7 .

Hmm well I'll post up some pics tomorrow of what I have and see if it works for what he needs.

Mine look identical to these except with a sharp angle on the edge instead of rounded. Not sure if the dimensions would be the same..

Sorry for the long delay- I actually found one striker in a bag of parts. I set it up best as possible and it's not going to work well on an 85. I was hoping it would be doable, but the door doesn't sit quite right and is hard to open, etc.

I think what I'm going to do is just buy some pins and find correct period doors. Anyone in Boston area want some old doors for some new ones? Lol
