I like to old pics... They look good. 
Now, why in the hell do your uploads not create thumbnails? This happened last time too! I down loaded the pics and I'm going to attach them and see what happens...
Hmm, I think it has to do with the bmp file. Do me a favor and try and attach them again but don't attach the bmp file. I want to see what happens...

Now why wouldn't you buy one in that shape again? It looks better than most of the rigs I buy even now. I must have a bad eye for basket cases

That "bmp" threw me off too.
What's wrong with that jeep? Unless the pics don't show the rotted rear frame, holes in the floor with Fred Flintstone brakes and a missing engine..?

I wish the pics wouldve been bigger and more clear. Their from when I first got my camera phone. The first one shows the plastic instead of a liftgate and a angle iron bumper that was used unsucsessfully in the towing of a trailer. Each wheel had a large rust spot on it from sitting outside a few years motionless. The rear loor was rotted out and the front floorboards had holes. It needed a clutch which was the reason it sat. The Transmission needed rebuilt. It ran but poorly. You'll see pics of the exhaust soon enough. The windshield frame was rotted out. There are all sorts of patches in the body booger welded in. There were holes in the rockers and rear corners. The springs were shot and the shocks that were there were bad. The doors were rotted. There are two spots on the rear of the frame that need patched. Other than that it was pristine.

Thats not so bad for a project start!
My first parts rig for my '47 CJ2a was a '55 CJ5 that had been used in a orchard pulling tractor duties for untold years. NO lights, no glass, driver's seat only. I sat in the back on the way home and flipped switches on a custom "tail light/brake light" board while my buddy drove 15 miles thru town to get it home. Used a lot of hard parts off that one for a few rigs I owned before I went into the AF.
