Let me start out by saying how much I love my darling Vicki. She sends me a text at work and lets me know she saw a Cj for sale and is turning around to get some pics. She knows Im looking for a project Jeep as well as her Cj with an auto.

She sent me a couple pics and I decided it may be a wheeling candidate. The body is fairly decent. The frame is a little rusty around the rear shackles but not thru. I decided it needed to be looked at.

When I got there I took some more pics. Turns out this is a "Limited " and is pretty dam close to stock. It would be alot of work but Im thinking restore on it.

Opinions? Heres some pics

Im sorry for the crappy pics as well , I was in a hurry and running out of light. I almost :dung: when I looked at the hardtop and realized what was going on. I was looking for something to wheel but I think this needs saved.
That would be a great one to restore...:)

Uncut dash , grab bar and correct steering wheel. Bestop seats but the hardtop with factory headliner and sunroof.

I didnt get an answer at the guys door. At $1500 Im gonna offer $1200 cash. When Vicki stopped originally the nieghbor asked what she was doing. She said looking at the Jeep and the nieghbor replied rather loudly " he probably needs to pay his taxes".

Stolen pics from an Ebay ad

For $1,500 or $1,200 it looks like it would be a great deal!!!!!:notworthy::notworthy:

I gotta say it looks pretty darn good. Engine looks good...nothing major from your pics and the rust can be cut out. And it looks like everything is there.

I say it's a good deal go for it. It's to bad someone cut a hole in the roof for a sunroof thats the only bad part I see. It needs saved. Good luck getting it.

Just depends on how big a project you want to take on.

Don't worry about the body though till after we go wheel'n, I'd hate to see you mess up a good rebuilt body.:D

Looks like good base to start with.

But no air cleaner? Does it run? Shift?

Rusted frame?

Do you have the time for a major project?

Even $1200 for spare parts is a good deal. :D

That's more of a nice start that what most of us have had from what I can see there. Price looks good as well.

If you see that it's more than you care to get into, you could always polish it up a little and probably turn a nice profit in no time!

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

It seems like you have the wifes support so if its what youre looking for go get it.

You prob'ly oughtta pounce on that one! :D

Pete, I sure hope your next post in this thread is pics of your new CJ in front of your house. Otherwise, I will be forced to come to Pa. and buy it out from underneath you :dbanana:
