On Board Air, York Compressor Oil?

On Board Air, York Compressor Oil?
If that's the case, no it doesn't seem like a bad deal at all.

The oil recovery kit should be for other

The recovery kit is for a York #210 compressor. Not really relevant in my opinion but they do sell them.
easy to remember 2 cylinder 10 cubic inches displacement= model 210.
Probably the most common one you will encounter. Mike

Yeah, I know, but didn't want to push it. I wonder how the oil is returned to the sump. It reads like you turn the pump on and open the valve with air pressure returning the oil to the sump. Cool trouble free idea, but pricey for what it is.

Ya I guess I could of worded it differently. The point I was thinking of was that there may be some water mixed with the oil that is trapped in the bottom of the coalescing filter. Not real hot on returning contaminated
oil to the pump.Where talkin 1 ounce of oil after a lot of running time.
I have been using the one I installed on my 1967 CJ5 so I have some experience with it and can say that the oil escaping into the supply line is greatly over rated.I am sure that if someone wanted to install a return
you can get everything at the hardware store. Mike

Your wording was just fine. Good point about the contaminated oil being a bad idea to try to salvage.

I've been looking at filters at Harbor Freight. There are several filters, but most aren't advertised as oil air filters, they are just filters. Will one of these separate both water and oil? I only see one filter listed as an air oil separator and that one is small. I can't pay what Kilby wants for most of his stuff, where did you get your parts?

Yes I did buy a few things from kilby and local also. The coalescing filters are expensive. My neighbor was in the hydraulic sales and gave me a filter for my shop compressor. I decided that I really didn't need it on there so I used it on the jeep. I did get the gasket set so I could clean out the crankcase and remove head to drill and tap for pipe thread. All worked out great and I don't regret spending the time and money to have the OBA.
It will be nice to just stop and air up my tires when we go to the coast(sand dunes) Going to carry impact wrench and cut-off tool as well.I put a air pressure gauge in dash with the on-off switch . I hope it all works out for you.I am sure it will. :) Mike
