I have bought parts from carparts.com before.

But, that 78 tank is different then your 74.

Morris has one for a 74 (I bought my new one from them), -->> Steel Fuel Tank, Rear-Mounted*5355314 by the Jeep Specialists | Morris 4x4 Center

And with our site 10% off the cost is about 107.

I'm not sure how much shipping would be (I believe the tank would ship from Atlanta), but you could call them and ask.

Crazy thing is, my '75 has a '78 gas tank, so I'm going to get another '78 tank. Then, I don't have to replace the hoses, filler cap, and filler tubes. I used the link and found a '78 tank on Morris. I'll try calling them and see if I can pick it up instead of waiting for shipping, if it does ship from Atlanta. Thanks for the help CJ!

Just called, they ship from Florida, but their prices are pretty good. I will probably use them for the tank. Woohoo! My CJ could be on the road next week! Just in time for fall.

I used them once. They are on Ebay. They had an ad up for tailgate cables for like $10. I sent a question confirming that was the price for a pair. They sent me the same ad again. I ordered and then got one. :( 2 emails and a threat of negative feedback and they corrected it for no cost though. Luckily you only need (1) gas tank. :)

LOL :D Think I'm going to order from Morris instead. They seem to have better customer service. CarParts has not responded to my email from 2 days ago....

Funny thing... This site gets no advertising from Morris and no commission yet I feel that I should always point them out... They are without a doubt a class act Jeep supply company... I could easily have pointed you to 4WD (we receive a commission) but I feel that Morris is a better vendor.

I do appreciate if you use them and by using our banner code ( http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/misc.php?do=page&template=sponsers ), eventually I hope to ask them to sponsor our site to help offset server and operating costs.

Right now I'm good for a while (server costs) but eventually (the site is growing), people like you who use our sponsors will help offset some of my costs! I appreciate it very much!
