I was going to scan it in and post it but it is too faded. I have the original window sticker for my CJ from 1976. I dont know how many times this jeep has changed owners but the window sticker has followed it. I also have the original manual. The original purchase price with the Renegade package and Levi (Edition) interior upgrade was $6550.00. It was bought in Bloomington MN on Jan 28th, 1976.

Anyone else still have theirs? Anyone the first owner still?

Sadly, no, in my case.
I don't even know who installed the 360 in mine, the PO told me it was a AMC 304 ...

But with your window sticker, a good graphics program should be able to clear up and sharpen it enough to read. I for one, would like to see it!

I wish I had mistakenly bought a 360!!

I will work on clearing up the image tonight and try to post it.

Ok, let's see if this comes out any better. I used a different scanner and it seems to have come out a bit clearer.

 its funny that it cost more to have power steering than to get the AMC 304 V-8!

I always wondered what came in the different packages, this spells out what our Renegade came with, also.

Good Info that! I wonder if we could track down a few other trim packages and make a list of what each one came with? Renegade , Laredo , Levi (Edition) ...What others?

I'm not the original owner but... I'm the second, my dad being the first. He still has the original build sticker, the only options being a rear seat, am radio, V-6, and 4.88 gears. I still have the original plates. He traded a '69 Karman Ghia convertible in for it. Been trying for years to get some info on the (now defunct) Kolars Jeep in Seattle, Wa where it was bought in Dec. '70.

I agree...it would be interesting to find out what came standard with different trim packages. I never knew there was a Levi (Edition) package until I saw it on the window sticker.

Chris, that's funny that your dad traded a KG for the jeep. I think he got the better end of that deal.

I have 3 of them from 86 CJ7 Laredos.I even have a piece of scratch paper with the options he wanted and the price he wanted to pay.

I have to  a little on this! I can't even find my VIN plate any more! I don't know what I did with it! :)

All I have is an owners manual, the directions for the soft top, and the 1978 Jeep brochure. They all survived, but the jeep disintegrated.

That's how was sometimes back before galvanized bodies.

It is pretty unusual to have any original info on these jeeps since most of them have been sold many times and modified over the years. Dont you have to have your VIN plate to register it though??? I know when I registered my CJ in Washintgon they had to check the numbers on the firewall.

Many Jeeps are not registered for or driven on the streets. They are true "Off Road Only" or "Trailer Queens".

I don't have a window sticker but when I bought my 73 CJ5 (Super Jeep )it cost $3600. That was quite a lot for a jeep with no top or any other creature comforts, only $1000 less than a 73 cuda with air and 340 that I had.

As for the vin. plate here in ohio they only check it when you frist put plates on it, good thing as mine is so rusted you can't read it anymore.

That makes sense...if you dont have to register it the VIN is just a number. I would consider doing that but I like driving my jeep on the streets once in a while. I guess I will continue to give the state of WA my $$$ once a year.

I had the VIN when I registered it the last time - since then I've done so much work on it I can't find it! :) If they ever need it again I'll guess I'll have to look for it... :)
