Warning, this is the second time I'm having to type this out so bare with me

I am putting a 76 CJ5 back together for my wife an am installing a painless kit. Go t majority of everything done and decided to throw a battery in, put the cables on and presto the lights came on, the parking lights front and rear. I went to turn the switch off and it already was..... So there's a problem. I did some research, looks at pictures, cursed a bit and pulled all the wires on the switch.... Put them back on where I thought they were suppose to be and still have the problem. So with the battery still hooked up I started pulling wires from the switch and switching them around.

Long story short, pulled ALL the wires and the lights are still on. I cannot figure out where the power is coming on to this circuit. Does anyone have a diagram? Even some words of wisdom?

I know everyone likes pictures so here she is:

Check your high beam dimmer switch. Should be a red/white wire from the light switch to it. Also a gray wire and a whit wire that go to the headlights. Maybe you have the red/white wire hot all the time. Rod

Brake lights are routed through the turn signal harness.
Pull the plug on the steering colume, and see if they go out.

Thanks for the tips, I'm at a loss. I'll be away from the jeep for a few days but will look at these first thing and let you know what I find.

May I ask why you choose to still use the 10106 wiring harness when the new version is now available, 10150? I'm in the market currently and can't decide if the extra ~$300 is worth it...

Really does look like brake lights to me too. Check the brake light switch.
