Dose anyone have a picture or diagram of the hose routing for the pcv on a 74 AMC 304 . Both of the manuals I have show real good pictures of a 4 cycl. The only diagram I found showed 1 from the oil filler neck to the air breather and the other from the pcv to intake. On mine the filler neck has a vented cap and the driver side valve cover has a hose that looks like at one time might have went to the air breather. Sorry for the run on just trying tomake sure I had it covered.
Thanks in advanced

The PCV is routed to the manifold vacuum, that is a port below the throttle plate and can be on the bottom of the carb or on the manifold itself, it is where ever you find it. Your filler cap it the air vent for the crank case, you should keep the filter inside it reasonably clean. It may have a slight negative pressure on it and it will be a good idea to avoid sucking dirt into the valve cover/crank case. Sorry I have no diagram but that is the basics of the PCV valve connections. The manifold vacuum sucks the back pressure / blow by out of the crank case and the other vent in the valve cover allows make up air into the crank case. this is the way I understand it to be.
