pcv valves and other parts for .01 cent

Guys I went to auto zone and they're phasing out the pcv127 for the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l (at least the '76) and other parts as well, related to emissions and vacuum. Go hit your store and get this stuff dirt cheap while you can.

Man that's the manager told me. Said a lot of those parts just gather dust and don't turn over on the shelf or warehouse. Maybe just expect us to go aftermarket like summit instead of a.z.'s aftermarket.

I know for a fact that they did this with a ton of pre-73 ford trucks. This is just an auto zone thing apparently. They already did it with the MC 2100d carb- but another part store in town had several kits.

The mtd grommets might be good to get too. I am sure many members have PCV and grommets that are shot. I may have to go visit... but its got to be cheap for me to buy spare.... I do work on a few CJ for guys in the summer... so maybe will have visit and think abou this.




A few years ago Checker put the Mobil 1 Filter for the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l on clearance for $2-3 each for a $14 filter. A very good rated filter at that.... one I would not want to buy at 14$. I purchased like 20 of them and cleared out 3 stores... should have got more.

Yesterday at Checker/now Oriley and they have a filter / oil change special with the Mobil 1 filter. So we ck for AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and they do not stock at local store or central warehouse. Special Order

Not sure. They don't really advertise these closeouts. Myself, I just happened to need a pcv and when he looked it up it was showing .01 for a price.

I asked him about other parts but I didn't have much time. I've been intending to go in there and have him pull up a list of everything they carry for my projects, vehicle by vehicle, and see what else is up for grabs. Might be a good idea to go online and see what they have there too.

I just called my local autozone and the web show no offering for the PCV Valve. The rubber mtd grommet is 2.99 reg price. Looks like its over... I did not ask him to ck other local stores for stock.... should have

I did ask about the temp sensor and the pres transducer for the gauges and they were not on sale.

Thanks for the post... still worth a call local or ask store to ck any stock anwhere.... still might help someone maybe.
