Photo Bucket

Photo Bucket
I understand your thoughts, but like guns, they only do what the operator has them do.

This however is not a catering... With this setup, Tapatalk stores the images as opposed to some other 3rd party like Photobucket. That's what makes it so seemless and simple. This works completely independently of the forum. I'm on FSJ Network, JeepForm and CJ8 and it works the same regardless. Some forums are Tapatalk-enabled (like this one and the ones I listed above). That's setup by the forum admin and may require updates from time-to-time, but that's it.

I edited my last post a little. Was thinking that it might have come off as a little more aggressive than intended. Mobile devices are incredible in what they can do. The world seems to be tumbling that way faster and faster everyday.

Maybe this will help:

If it has been just a short time since you upgraded:

If you’ve upgraded a PC to Windows 10 — not performed a clean install, but an upgrade — you’ll have an easy option that lets you revert to the last version of Windows. To access this, open the Start menu and select Settings. Click the “Update & security” icon and select “Recovery.”
You should see a “Go back to Windows 7” or “Go back to Windows 8.1” option. Click the Get started button to get rid of your Windows 10 install and restore your previous Windows install. Microsoft will ask you why you want to go back.

If this is not possible you can do a recovery to a point before Windows 10 was installed, just keep in mind it's a good idea to back up all of your documents, pictures, and emails, before doing a recovery.

If this is all Greek to you, look into someone with computer knowledge and have them do it for you. As a rule of thumb, never update to a new OS for at least 6 months to a year after it release. That way all of the bugs have been worked out.

Yeah, you are right, there was so much pressure at the time to upgrade. Various products were saying that they wouldn't work on the older system and we were being pushed to get it done, so I did. The thing was awful at first, then it got better as various automatic upgrades came along, but it's still glitchy. I was getting system incompatibility issues with Norton so using my xfinity account I unloaded it and reloaded it. Some of the problems are better, but the site isn't. Even here at work where the IT guys are right on top of things, this site isn't as consistent as it was. I'm sure it will all get worked out sooner or later. I just hate to see products that worked so well for many years, like photobucket, become all but unusable almost over night.

Photobucket is so bogged down with ads and javascript that I don't bother anymore. I've been a lot happier with imgur

That's why I paid the $5. For a year it wasn't much. Made a big difference and I didn't have to start over somewhere else.

Like holding you hostage for the $5 to improve speed and performance.
They do it on purpose I believe.

I look at it this way, the ads are there for them to make money. Without them the site would have a harder time staying alive. By paying the $5, I'm substituting for those ads which help me in the long run. The other thing is this is a hobby for me. Hobbies cost money, this is part of it. But, yes I hate it too.

When you're getting old, and you get your truck blown out from under you by some insurgent, your brain doesn't remember things so well. I'll have to admit that a lot of my computer problems are me not being as tech savvy as my kids. (college age)

My laptop has Windows 10 Home. It's quite a bit different that what I had before, and I'm still trying to figure out things. I know that mobiles are they way of the future, but I have bad eyes and like the bigger screen of an actual computer over a phone. At least my laptop (ASUS) can fold over and work like a tablet. That's great for portability, but I still prefer using a mouse over touch screen mode.

Photobucket has been giving me fits lately. It seems to work ok, but then if I get out, or click the back button, it wants me to log in again, PITA. Photobucket is the only way I even know how to post pictures, so it's what I use. They have software issues somewhere. I've been at 47% for ever, no matter how many photos I load in or delete. At one time I was down to like 7 or 8 photos, and was still at 47%. I probably have like 60 or more photos on photobucket now... I'm at 47%.

I like cropping my photos on the computer before I load them in photobucket.

Some people put photos in their posts, and they're just thumbnails that you have to click on to see bigger. Is that some other photo thing like imgur?

I copy and past the lowest link on photobucket that says "IMG".

See this shot of my filthy carburetor...

I'm right there with ya. :patriot: I just hope I get my Jeep done before I completely fall apart. :wasted:

Does anybody else think it's really cool that Daddy has a real honest to goodness MOPAR 360 under the hood? Not an AMC 360, but a MOPAR, very cool.

"MOPAR = more power. :D
