Does anyone have a picture of the fuel supply and return line routing (tank to engine) for a 77' CJ5 with the V8? Mine was hacked up as received and I have new replacement tubes. Body is off frame.

Thanks

I see nobody has answered you yet, so I will give it a try. I've loaded a couple of pictures for you. The diagrams are from the parts manual. The parts manual however, does not show the lines from the tank to the fuel pump, and the lines from the evaporator canister return to the tank. I looked through my pictures of when I took my jeep apart and didn't find any real good ones of the fuel lines. If I remember right it is pertty straight forward. Lines run from the tank down the inside of the frame rail to the engine. Also one runs back for the return line. I have one picture that showes both brake and fuel lines in it. Not much different in the way they looked. The diagrams should help you out some though. Please note that in the parts manual the year covered by the diagram is the year stated and everything forward after the slash (ie: 1975/). That would be 1975 to 1980 which is covered in the manual. The Haynes manual had nothing. Sorry I couldn't be more help. I have my original fuel lines if you need a specific picture. The only difference I can tell is the length due to mine being a CJ7 and not a 5. Rod

Yea, they most likely run outside near the engine due to heat. Didn't think about that one. Glad you found some info. Rod

I ran mine inside the frame, I first inserted irrigation poly tubing. It has an IOD of .600.

I then slide my fuel line inside the poly sleeve. I know some are not going to like the idea but i am giving it a try. My supply runs the driver side and exits right at the pump. The return runs the passenger side.

I now have only my rear brake line running outside the frame, no more issues with exhaust and heat on my fuel lines.
