So I hit mine in with a socket and hammer. It made a tiny line on the front of the bearing from the socket impact. Will this impact performance or longevity in any way?

Nope. :cool:
 
The bearing load is on the diameter, not the end. As long as you didn't mash the end into the diameter, you're OK.
