Dave, thanks so much for taking the time to lead another CJ.com trail ride. You do an excellent job! :chug:

Can't wait to meet up with the regulars and new folks.

If you happen to see a decent stock/modified 79 or down CJ for sale out your way let me know.

It's my pleasure. I love doing these trail rides.
Oh and I do see a decent modified 79 CJ right now but it's definitely not for sale. :p I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Looks great Dave. Picayune Gulch, Placer Gulch, Cinnamon Pass and American Basin will all be new for me...hope I can make it this year.

For those of us coming to the 6th Jeep-CJ trail ride here's a cool place to stay: The Silverton Grand Imperial Hotel. Al Harper, the owner of the Silverton Durango Railroad bought this Hotel for 1.6 million dollars and spent another 4.5 million to restore and remodel it back to the way it was in the 1880's.
Check out the video here: The Durango Herald 05/07/2016 | Silvertons Grand Imperial restored to opulence
They just had the Grand Reopening yesterday.

If you want to ride the train you'll need to stay an extra day. It goes through the Animas River canyon.

Wish my wife and I could join your excursions.
Love that area and I was born in Colorado.

Tell us again, exactly why can't you and your wife join us. You have an RV and a way to haul or tow the CJ. I'm sure you would be welcome

As for me. It does look like the CJ will be ready, but I don't believe I'll be able to overcome the challenge of staying "on topic" or refrain from the occasional joke. Life is full of challenges though. I might be able to "overcome and persevere" long enough to find a way to fit in. We will see.

Well-My class 3 CHF, and the altitude don't mix well.
We will be back in Alaska at that time. :dbanana:

Personally - I think both of you should come. I can't think of any reason why not...

I trust that board politics aren't an issue... That's silly and even if it WERE the case, this trip would be just the fix...:chug:

Did you even read my post(#87) above yours(#88)? :dunno:

Wow, machine gun posts that was exciting. Lumpy, altitude is problematic for your health, bummer. Alaska, sounds like great fun. Are you just visitin', or hunting or are you going to start your own gold mine reality show on discovery. I can see it now, "Big lumpy gold on my grits", Staring Lumpy Grits himself ......

Board politics, nope there are no board politics here on this board. Generally we are one big happy family.
