Playing in the mud today

Unfortulantely not that kind of mud. Dalefan and I are redoing the master bedroom. Knocked out all the plaster and put up drywall.
Coupled by the fact we are ameture drywallers and missed more studs than we hit ...and then there is not a square or level spot left in this old house...... It is going to take me ten gallons of mud to "fix" it all

You can't fool me! I do it for a living, and I just got through with hanging and mudding 122 sheets of 4x12's by myself, 30 of them on a 10' cieling! The last thing I want to see is drywall!

If any of you guys get done and feel the need to hang more, I have about 40 sheets of rock in my basement that need to go up. I wouldn't be offended if I came home from work one day and they were up. Can't use you special hammers though CW, they are going on metal studs.

I love to spackle, I mean use joint compound. I can work wonders with it! I have been doing it since I was 11.

I could have used you. That "little" rush job had about 1000' of tape and 3 coats of mud = 34, 5 gallon buckets. Never again, i don't care how much it pays.

im with ya. i hate house stuff. but love working on cars. i hate measure twice cut once. just let me cut the dang thing. if anything in this house was square id have a heart attack!
