Thats why I was thinking an adjustable pv might be better.

Old Dog,
:)I would agree with you One Hundred Percent 100% get an adjustable. And if you really wanted to be cute put the valve in the cab so it is reachable.
:D:D:D:D

How much adjusting have you had to do and how did you decide you needed adjustment. What, in your opinion, is right and how did you get there.

I did just what OLDDOG said. Driving down a dirt road and mash on the brakes. Kept adjusting until no wheel lock-up and it felt like I could stop under control. It still won't stop on a dime! What is right will be up to you. Every Jeep is going to act different, with set-up and all the add-ons. Weight is going to be the big issue. The more the vehicle weights, then more braking power is needed. The disc conversion I used is SSBC rear discs. They are only 10.5" in diameter. Bigger would work better. So depending on what you use (bigger rotors) that will make a big difference on stopping, too.

I ordered the disk/disk PV we will see how it works out.

I kind of like things that are not adjustable, they don't get out of adjustment as easily as things that are.

and you can quote me on that.

I have to agree with that, I also don't like the "one tool does it all"

I had the cj on a gravel road today and it seems to stop without locking up either end. I guess thats good in the fact that it stays under control. BUT I would think I should be able to lock them up on gravel.
This is as good as they were with disc/drum though. It never has been a "throw you through the windshield" brake system.
