Power steering fluid mix up?

Hey all, quick question.

I just replaced my steering box and lines, and when I went to add fluid I noticed after starting to pour that the new fluid is clear? and now the reservoir is all full of white and foamy liquid, the previous fluid was the normal sort of pinkish purple stuff did I just really mess things up?

I have no clue what happened, as always the help is much appreciated.

Engine on-Cycle full left to right turns several times to 'bleed' the system
I use Lucas PS fluid.
