Finally got some free time to work on the jeep again so i decided i would get new lift and body mounts. I started pulling everything off but when i got to the body mounts i couldnt get any of them off. Seems like there is something holding the bolt from coming down so all its doing is spinning and spinning and not moving anywhere. At this point im getting frusterated with it and want to just cut the bolts off since i have new ones and i will end up getting some welding done anyways. I figured i would ask if anyone knows why i cant revome the bolts? Or is there another way to pop off whatever is holding them? Thanks ahead of time.

A few things might be going on and all point to rust. If you can cut them off and are ok with doing that, go for it. It's a lot easier to work on those bolts when the body is on its side or even upside down.
Maybe caged bolts are not so caged at the moment, or maybe the bolts are rusted/stripped and not cooperating.
Just cut the heads off and separate the tub and frame then it is a lot easier to see what is going on. :chug:

there probably very rusty and could be at a spot were you cant catch good threads and best to cut or try to pry up close and put pressure at the mount were it might help catch some good threads , and being as old as these jeeps are someone could have replaced mounts before an used all thread rods to connect and put nuts on the other side that arent welded in securely and is just spinning , when I removed my tub the ones that didnt come out just broke and mine was original so I was lucky ,, so with them spinning it could be that someone already put in all thread or that the upper piece that is holding the nut has broken free , either way you will need to cut and get the tub up so you can see whats going on to make your own repairs,,personally I dont like the all thread repair so I repaired mine so the upper piece was locked in

the nuts are no longer "caged". You should be able to reach some of them , under the floorboard is the first place that comes to mind. once you understand what you are dealing with it will make it easier to deal with. I say , if you are removing the tub, cut them off through the body mount and get the body off.

I had to use a 1" hole saw to cut out the rear deck to reach the nuts and pull them out from the top. this will not work on all of them.
