Man I love those old flat fenders! The way the side body panel extends forward for the windshield frame to pivot on is great and the dash is such a neat feature.

Looking forward to watching this thing come together!

My first JEEP ever was a '47 CJ2a . I sure miss that thing...
Keep us posted on your progress...

Its been a while since i updated. I recently got rid of the 4.3 vortec and decided to get a L-134 from a 48 CJ2a it came with a T-90 /D18 and was the right price and made it easier for me.

I got new U-bolts and shackles and mounted the axles

Here are some pictures of the L-134 that I got last month, I looks to have been “recently” rebuilt, and has been bored 0.03 over.

Are you sure the 4.3 is going to fit with the low hood
I have a 3b high hood with a 4.3 and it bearly clears the top of the hood:chug:

From what i found out it would fit. but i dont have to worry about that anymore

heres a little update

ive mainly been blasting and painting smaller parts while i wait till more parts get it. I also test fitten my Transmission /tcase and the rear drive shaft.
