Quick steering Question

Quick steering Question
I am 5'1". If its breast high... I dont carry a tape measure, so I always pick a body part and go with it...

I cried. And I know that you guys are trying to help... I am going to end up with something I definitely dont want because its just easier to buy something ready to drive.

Thanks guys.

Hang on there Girl friend! If this Jeep is something that you are not happy with, DO NOT BUY IT! There are PLENTY of Jeeps out there, and one has your name on it. You don't need to buy a pre built pre beat unit because the price seems right. Relax, get some piks, get all the information about the running gear and as much as you can about what has been done to it, and let us have a look. Maybe we can help you a little, but It's never a good idea to buy a bad unit from a moron. One step at a time. ;)

WOW 24" shackle lift??? and a 309?? WTF is THAT out of?? and those wheels (man I wish this laptop had a exclamation point button...) I can't look any more......

Glad I sold my CJ7 before you dropped these words of wisdom. Wheh! :D

Now that's what I call a FUBAR!!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I'd have to go with both!

Found out alot today about that Jeep.

It is an inline 6. The sticker is wrong.

And when I asked Stan how big those tires are, he told me that they have to be at least 38s. I told him that they were too much tire for the highway.

He told me that if we do get that, I wouldnt be able to drive it for a while. We would have to tear it apart and rebuild it. Which is all fine and dandy, but being me, I like instant gratification. I would want to drive it. All the time.

And he also said that Jeeps arent really good 'grocery getters.' So, I still have to have a car. I told him that he was full of :dung: . Started an argument. :(

Im still looking.

Chill out and let this POS go. Trust me, there's an arse for every seat, and your Jeep just has'nt come by yet, but it will. While It's true that good CJ's are starting to be a little tough to come by, there are a :dung: load of YJ's and TJ's all over holy hell. You'll find a good one, I guarantee it. And the newer the Jeep, the better it is gor gettin groceries!

If you want an instant driver you have to stay away from Jeeps such as this one... This is a Jeep that needs allot of work to make it right.

Move on...

Hunt up an unlimited, extra space and gets groceries fine.
If you pick up a YJ you can always swap a CJ grill in, easy I did.
The 4 banger YJ is a little mountain goat, but not a corvette when it comes to
the freeway. A cheap 6 cyl YJ would be good. and it's easy to work on.
But like others I prefer my CJ but I do wish I had gotten a 7 instead of a 5.

But... But....but... :( (This is where I need a pouting smileyguy. Or maybe one that cries.)

Ok. I might let this one go... Might. I just know its available and I have a need....

As for being a grocery getter though...I have my truck. Its a 4 door. Its big. Thats what I use now.

Oh hell, I could find reasons both good and bad all day long...

Im gonna man up and put it out there. She wants a lifted XJ. Fits her needs. Had 2 myself. Do it. dont look back.

No. I want my Granddaddy's jeep. It was a '69. That is all I know. He traded his brother for a Malibu so I could drive him around.

I've been driving Jeeps all my life. From a 45'MB to 83' Scrambler which rides on 38"Swampers. I never needed a car. A pick-up truck from time to time yes, but no car. It all depends on what your willing to live with, or without as the case maybe.
