Re: Winning pics

Dain My dad would grow about 200 acres of grass every year for hay for the winter feed for the cattle and horses. When he sold the ranch he said he would never have another lawn he hated to cut grass so much. He said he would cement the yard and paint it green before he would have a lawn again. You might think about that. :). We are pretty wet down here also.

I have been seriously considering astro turf instead. And moving out of an HOA zone of course.

I will never live in a HOA again. I will be damned if I will let a bunch of stuck up S. O. B's tell me what I can and can not do on my property.

A guy came around about a year after we moved into our development trying to recruit me in his pursuit to organize an HOA. He explained that he would even volunteer as the first president. These tin gods are all the same.

I politely yelled him off of my property and informed him that I would use every resource available to me to fight him.

He moved out of the neighborhood the following spring. I believe he encountered others like me. It was our first parameter to NOT be in an HOA!

Re: Winning pics

I wish I took pictures, but VA 4WD Association had their annual meeting last weekend, and they showcased my 5. Had 50 or so Jeeps there...not a single other CJ in the mix, so I took the opportunity to harass all the modern Jeep owners.

I'd point at their track bars and anti-sway bars and ask them what they were...why they put so many dampeners on their steering system...and if they ever used their unscratched/unweathered hi-lifts.

It was all in good fun, though. Everyone got a good laugh.

Re: Winning pics

It’s funny - I’ve noticed some of the younger JK owners will look at my CJ and they aren’t sure what it is..... They know it’s a Jeep, but looks different than Wranglers......

Sent from the searing, barren, scorched land that used to be SW Virginia... no rain in 4 days.

Re: Winning pics

Glad you made it !! I’m still waiting on a loss - I keep looking for an old 5, M38, or Willys....... no joy yet......

I have no idea where I sent this from......

Re: Winning pics
