Does the rad need to come out to change the lines on a 1982CJ7 w/ a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l ?Thanks

Most likely no, but sometimes it's so tight that dropping the steering box off of the mounting bracket makes it easier.

Ok I think I will try it and see how it goes. I need to see if I have a seal leak first because I will have to push those seals out with the pump before removing the lines. ThanksCJ
