I use an electric trolling motor and can get into lakes that don't get fished (at least not with downriggers)

cool:cool:

I suspect taking the freeway can be an adventure with a canoe on top. I was thinking about getting an inflatable canoe/kayak/raft that I could throw in the back of my CJ5 . I used a friend's inflatable kayak to go fishing at Ruth Lake (between Garberville and Red Bluff, CA) a few years ago and was surprised at how well it did -- just watch your hooks!

I tow it to the mountains and don't drive my Jeep much over 50mph anyway. It's not bad! the boat only weighs 92lb.s. It makes for a nice shade roof and of course I have it cinched down tight with 7 ratcheting straps for wind

Ummm... OK, but it might take me a couple of weeks to get to Atlanta! :D
