Really chaps my hide!

So the ladies VW passat has been vibrating badly while stopped in gear. Figured motor mounts but after tons of reading (cheating) on another forum, i decided to take it in for diagnosis at the dealer.

...

They wan 700.00 to replace the little boogers (50.00 in parts from rock auto if I do myself) :down:

So with that plus the other things they want to do, they want 3400.00...

They were even going to charge me $25.00 to change the burned out license plate light!!

Told them BS on the light! (Yeah get em JR) that I'm spending 3k with them so replace the dang light for free please lol

Any who, chapped my hide cause I could have gotten all the parts myself from Rock Auto for 350.00 shipped (including a repair manual) and tried getting all it done myself, but I've never done the timing belt, etc (full big list) and motor mounts on a VW...

So I caved (after talking him down to $2800.00) and am kicking myself for being "lazy"...



Oh well... at least this way it "should" be done right!

VW's are terrible labor and part wise to get fixed. Go car shopping.
