Rear Axle Relocation
Torxhead
Always Off-Roading Jeeper
Are they like these, https://www.allprooffroad.com/8489suspension/51? Interesting, but maybe JR has the wrong spring.
are those 33" tires??
JR, is the tub in the correct location? Or can you move it forward a bit?
Jr. cj and I believe yj springs have the pin centered, so even if they were on backwards it shouldn't matter. At least not for this.
Can you measure your old springs from the center pin to the frame eye along the spring and see if the new ones are the same.
Also how much arch do you have in them.
Still wating on pic's
Im pretty sure I told you awhile back to get a longer wheelbase Cj.
I plan to bring the old girl into work tomorrow. I have a forklift here, so will get you all some flexing pics.
There "should" be 3" arch in them, but I think if anything they're 2-1/2". One of the problems may be they had medium duty and heavy duty... when I asked, they said medium should work fine for me, I think I should have gotten the stiffer heavy duty. I wanted better ride on road and flexing off road though... Thought medium would be sufficient.
Yes my friend... You did...
I'm one of those "hard headed have to learn for myself" kind of guys i suppose! lol

You should be fine with the softer spring..........if anything again on the rear axle the tire should be traveling towards the rear and not coming forward. The only way it comes forward is if the shackle is at a negative angle.
Did you have to mount new front ( of rear spring ) hangers? or for that matter did you mount new ones in the rear?
Hi Guys,
~ Jr
Jr, could you take a side shot of the rear shackle on a flat surface and flexing. Could be the angle of the pic, but looks to be a bit past 90* towards the front on the driver side shackle. Again, could be the angle.
