Rear Seat shopping

I am keeping an eye out for a rear seat I can pick up cheap. What seats are interchangeable to the 1980 CJ5 . Mine does not have a tailgate if that makes any difference. Would a seat from a 7 fit? How bout a YJ? Any help would be appreciated.

A CJ7 seat will fit. Id look for one out of a Yj with the fold and tumble option. You will get a little more gear/spare parts/tools in there with the seat folding forward. Pricing for them around here goes $50 to $100 depending on condition. Make sure you grab the brackets with it. They usually garner $30-$40 alone on Ebay.

thanks Pete. Exactly the info I was looking for. Saw a yj seat on cl for 75 but no hardware. i will keep on looking and see what i can come up with.
