Been there my friend, didn't really want to bother you with it and at the same time didn't want to look totally illiterate. You can’t catch them all on an active forum like this one. You done good sir.

Well that's done with. The local Jeep shop had a set of used axles that were in nice shape, the set sold for $AMC 150 loaded with bearing, seal and backing plates. So, the old came out and the replacements went right in with no difficulty at all. Another job done.
