Relearning EVERYTHING!

Jeeper
The Wife and I bought a '74 CJ5 last February. It has pretty much just sat in the shop since. The other day, I decided to start putting the new suspension under it, take some useless junk off it, mount the new seats and sliders and get her back on the road.
Well, now that we're getting so close to wheeling it this Spring and Summer, I started to think about my wheeling years way back then.
Yesterday, I realized that it's been 28 years since I bought my last CJ. I had a '63 Willys CJ5 with a Chevy 283 and Warn OD in it. It was not well put together but it was a really fun rig. Had a lot of fun in that Jeep for about five years iirc.
Anyway, back then I was quite a good off-road driver. My Willys had skinny tires and open diffs. front and rear but it went everywhere I wanted to go. That Jeep had nothing to enhance it's off-road prowess. In fact, the fact that it had a 283 in it was less a benefit than you might think it was. That thing was noticeably nose heavy.
Anyway, I've forgotten almost everything Jeep related. I've forgotten all the little tricks to the trade, the nuances of the craft as it were. I guess half the fun will be seeing if it all comes back to me.
