Dam, You guys are makeing me feel old. I remember all of these. One more. Do you remember when you went to the drug store for an ice cream cone?
 
Remember when gas was cheap and you would all jump in the car and go for a drive around the county you lived in. No destination, no map , no damn GPS or cell phones. You just enjoyed seeing the country side. And exploring new roads, new towns.
 
Remember when, you didn't need to lock your doors in your house and you left the keys in your vehicles.
 
Remember when you really had to dial a phone number? And after you did you had to stay within the length of the cord?
 
I remember when my "Techy" Dad spent 5yrs trying to convince me that I needed a fax machine for my business. That was before the internet. I kept telling him that I really liked calling on clients in person. No way did I need that new-fangled technology.
I mostly email artwork now...
 
Remember when:

1) The milk man delivered your milk to the house in those quart bottles with the paper cap? Used to sit out on the front step in the wee hours of the morning every Saturday waiting on him so I could give him the empty return bottles! (which brings me to the next "remember when")

2) After bringing in the milk, it was nearly time for the Buggs Bunny and Road Runner Show!! I miss real cartoons.......:(

3) ...it was OK to have a shotgun or deer rifle on the gun rack in the back window of the truck at High School?!! I always tried to beat my drafting teacher to the deer stand after last bell.

4) ...an AM / 8 Track "stereo" was an option for the Mustang?
 
I remember when we uswd to spend a whole Saturday scouring every nook & cranny in town for Coca Cola bottles. We'd turn them in for the deposit & buy bubblegum w/ the money...
 
Dang... I was gonna say remember when gas broke $1.00 a gallon, but some of the more senior members here just might laugh me outta here...:o

I remember when it was 19.9 cents a gallon. Three dollars worth of gas and a two dollar six pack of shlitz. That was my saturday night entertainment.
 
Remember when the television only got about three channels (on a good day)?

Remember going outside to turn the antennae so the reception was better?

Remember when you had to get up and actually change the channels by turning the knob on the TV?

and...

Remember the telephone "party line"? Never did figure out what ring sequence was ours.
 
Remember the relationship between a #2 pencil and a cassette tape?
 
Remember when there wasn't a Starbucks on every corner.
 
Remember when we were supposed to have jet packs and flying cars by now?
