Removing/Adding bumperettes

Anyone done this? Sounds simple...but there are several bolts I cannot get to on the backside of the bumper. Thought I'd bang this out (including a new SS frame cover) today...but no go. Any words of wisdom? Thanks.

On my old CJ - we just pulled them.

You have originals? WOW!

Now - how to pull em, The only way is from the back, You need to grind down some tools.

Funny story, when I got my Jeep (which still has the original bumperettes), I thought they were for holding gas cans like the old war movies!

Oh, as far as removing them? I would just grind off the heads if you can't get to the back.

p.s. I still have them, I think they look great. You should consider keep them!
