I'm not a rookie to painting but this has got to be the hardest paint I have ever sanded. I'm in the process of snding the entire body down to bare metal and am useing 36 grit on a DA sander.

I prefer Jasco paint remover myself but it's still no walk in the park.

Yea I hate paint stripper cause it's so messy. I bought a can and sprayed the hood while I did body work on the right side.

if you have the space sandblasting works really good but it make a mess. :D

Careful sandblasting. Too much pressure and you stretch the sheet metal. Some restorers use plastic beads that doesn't take the zinc cromate off.

By the time you add up the sandpaper and time, blasting is cheap.

Also gets into the cracks better.

You could also buy the "soda" blaster from Harbor Freight, which I hear does a good job and the soda is an easy cleanup.
